DesignFXPro offers web development services for custom websites, web applications and e-commerce stores. We handle front end, back end, integrations, launch and post-launch support, and you own the code at the end.
This page covers what web development includes, which build approach suits your situation, our five-phase process, typical timelines and the Google and accessibility standards we build to.
Web development services cover planning, coding, testing and launching a website or web application, including the front end visitors see and the back end that stores data and runs features. DesignFXPro builds custom sites, web apps and Shopify or custom stores with SEO structure, Core Web Vitals and conversion paths built in from the start, not added after launch.
Web development services are the technical work of building a website or web application: architecture, front-end code, back-end logic, databases, integrations, testing and launch. Design decides what a page should do. Development makes it work, fast and reliably, on every device.
Our stack depends on the project and includes React, Next.js, Node.js, PHP, headless CMS options, WordPress and Shopify. If you want the basics first, our guide what is web development explains front end, back end and full stack in plain English.
On The Injury Justice Firm website, DesignFXPro cut mobile load time from 7.2 seconds to 1.9 seconds, brought LCP, INP and CLS into passing range and resolved more than 210 technical errors.
You need web development when your current site limits growth: it is slow, hard to update, cannot support a feature you need or is losing search visibility. A new business launching its first serious site needs it too.
Slow pages and weak structure also hurt visibility. Our article on why a website is not getting traffic explains how technical issues block growth.
A rebuild is not always the answer. If your site is already fast, indexed and easy to edit but visitors do not convert, conversion rate optimization on the key pages usually costs less than new development.
Custom development gives the most control and the highest performance ceiling. WordPress or another CMS is the right call when your team edits content often. A site builder is the fastest and cheapest start but has limits.
| Approach | Strengths | Best for | Typical build time on our projects |
|---|---|---|---|
| Custom development | Most control, highest performance ceiling | Unique features, web apps, scale | 8 to 16+ weeks |
| WordPress or other CMS | Easy content editing, good performance if well built | Content sites updated often | 4 to 8 weeks |
| Website builder | Cheapest and fastest to launch | Simple sites on tight budgets | 1 to 3 weeks |
For a fuller comparison, read WordPress vs a custom website. We recommend the approach that fits your goals, even when that is the smaller project.
Every build runs in five phases with a review at each step. The process follows the same Discover, Strategize, Execute and Optimize approach DesignFXPro uses across all its work.
Phase five is optional. Clients who have their own developers can take the code at launch and run maintenance in-house, since they own the code either way.
Scope drives cost and timeline: the number of templates, custom features, integrations and how much content needs to move. DesignFXPro gives a written estimate before work starts and does not publish fixed prices.
| Factor | Pushes scope down | Pushes scope up |
|---|---|---|
| Build approach | CMS or builder | Fully custom code or web app |
| Templates and pages | A handful of templates | Many unique templates and page types |
| Features | Forms and standard content | Portals, logins, calculators, dashboards |
| Integrations | Analytics and a form tool | CRM, payments, ERP, third-party APIs |
| Migration | New site, little content | Large site with URL mapping and redirects |
| Accessibility and performance targets | Basic checks | WCAG 2.2 AA review and strict Core Web Vitals budgets |
Our guide how long does it take to build a website breaks down where the weeks go.
DesignFXPro builds sites for search and conversion from the first line of code, and one team handles design, development and marketing. That matters because most post-launch problems come from SEO, tracking and speed being treated as somebody else's job.
Read the Injury Justice Firm case study to see the technical work behind the speed result. Results vary by site and starting point.
Two sets of standards shape every build: Google's guidance for search and the W3C's accessibility guidelines. We test against both before launch.
The next step is to gather the facts a developer needs to scope your build. These four steps prepare you for a useful call with DesignFXPro.

A typical project includes discovery and scoping, architecture, a responsive front end, a CMS or back end, integrations, SEO-ready structure, analytics setup, performance and Core Web Vitals work, security and backups, QA and launch. After launch we offer maintenance and optimization. You receive and own the code.
Choose custom code when you need unique features, a web app or the highest performance ceiling. Choose WordPress when your team publishes often and wants easy editing without a developer. A well-built WordPress site can still be fast, but it needs plugin upkeep and security patching, and we help you choose during the free consultation.
On DesignFXPro projects, a CMS build typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, a marketing website about 6 to 10 weeks and a fully custom site or web app 8 to 16 weeks or more. Content readiness and approval speed often matter as much as the build itself, so we agree on a schedule for both.
Yes. We build dashboards, client portals, SaaS products and internal tools with user accounts, business logic, data and third-party integrations. Web apps start with the same discovery phase, with extra time spent on the data model and security before any screens are built.
We protect existing rankings by mapping every current URL, setting up 301 redirects, migrating content and checking indexing after launch. No one can promise rankings, but a careful migration avoids the common causes of post-launch drops, such as missing pages and broken links.
Yes. DesignFXPro has built and improved websites for law firms, including The Injury Justice Firm in California, as well as education, e-commerce and technology businesses. For regulated industries we plan page content and disclaimers with your team so the site follows the rules that apply to your advertising.
