Corebingo case study: driving demand for the R100 smart ring

Corebingo makes the R100, an optical-touch Bluetooth smart ring that works as a hands-free remote for phones, tablets and laptops. The ring sells through Corebingo's Shopify store and a global dealer network.

DesignFXPro ran a creative-led promotion program for the R100 over about six months in 2025. This page covers why a new product category was hard to sell, the four services we used and the results.

Who is Corebingo and what was the challenge?

Corebingo is a consumer electronics brand whose R100 smart ring lets people control phones, tablets and laptops with a touch of the finger. The challenge was selling a product in a category most buyers did not know existed.

The R100 had real uses, but each one needed explaining before anyone would buy. Our review found six problems.

  • An unknown category, so every piece of content had to explain both what a smart ring remote is and why it helps.
  • Several use cases, from reading to sport, which made one simple message hard to deliver.
  • A gesture-controlled product that is hard to understand from text alone and needs video and photos.
  • Larger tech and wearables brands with bigger creative budgets targeting the same audiences.
  • A product page that did not explain the multi-use story or guide first-time visitors to buy.
  • Social channels that were active but uneven in style, frequency and quality.

A new product category does not sell on features. Corebingo's growth came from splitting the R100 into five clear use cases and showing each one on video.

What did DesignFXPro do for Corebingo?

DesignFXPro used four services to turn the R100's many uses into five focused campaigns. We produced 95+ creative assets on a weekly production cadence, with bi-weekly syncs with the Corebingo team.

  1. Mapped the R100 into five use-case campaigns: page-turner for readers, scroll remote for TikTok viewers, music controller for commuters, action camera trigger for athletes, and accessibility tool for hands-free users.
  2. Edited promotional videos for each use case, cut for paid social and display, through our motion graphics services.
  3. Edited advertisement images for each campaign through our marketing and advertising design services.
  4. Ran consistent social media posting on TikTok and Instagram with our social media management services.
  5. Redesigned and optimized the product page to tell the multi-use story and guide first-time buyers, using our UI/UX design and conversion rate optimization work.

What results did Corebingo get?

Monthly R100 unit sales grew from about 95 to 286, a 3.0x increase, during the engagement. More visitors reached the product page and more of them added the ring to their cart.

Monthly product page sessions rose from 2,840 to 9,030, and the add-to-cart rate rose from 1.4% to 3.4% after the redesign. Average ad click-through rate rose from 0.6% to 1.7%.

Social reach grew with the video work. Monthly social video views rose from 38,000 to 108,800, and combined TikTok and Instagram followers rose from 4,200 to 14,600.

The engagement concluded in mid-2025 with the campaign goals achieved, and the results reflect performance during the active engagement period. The work built category awareness ahead of Corebingo's Ring II launch. Results vary by product and market.

What can other product brands learn from Corebingo?

The main lesson from Corebingo is that a new kind of product sells when each ad shows one person solving one problem. Consumer electronics and gadget brands can apply the Corebingo method in this order.

  1. Split a multi-use product into separate use-case campaigns, each aimed at one audience.
  2. Show the product working on video; gesture or touch products are hard to explain in text.
  3. Keep demos provable. The FTC's advertising guide for small business says online ad claims must be truthful and substantiated, so each use-case video should show what the R100 really does.
  4. Rebuild the product page around the same use cases as the ads so the story carries through to checkout.
  5. Keep a steady weekly creative cadence so social channels look consistent.
  6. Track add-to-cart rate and unit sales, not only views, to judge creative.

The five-campaign method is not for every product. A product with one simple, familiar use may not need separate use-case campaigns, and a smaller set of clear ads can be enough.

Can other gadget brands expect the same results?

No brand should expect the same numbers. Corebingo's 3.0x growth in monthly R100 unit sales reflects one product, one market and one six-month engagement in 2025, and DesignFXPro does not promise sales. The use-case method behind the campaigns can still be applied to other products in a new category.

Which services did DesignFXPro use for Corebingo?

DesignFXPro used four services for Corebingo: promotional video editing, advertisement image editing, social media posting, and website redesign and optimization. The services were planned around five use-case campaigns so the videos, image ads, social posts and product page all told the same story about the R100 smart ring.

How do you market a product in a new category?

A product in a new category is easiest to market by showing specific use cases rather than listing features. For the Corebingo R100, DesignFXPro built five campaigns, each showing the ring solving one problem for one audience, such as turning pages for readers or triggering an action camera for athletes. Video carried most of the explaining.

How long was the Corebingo engagement, and what came next?

The Corebingo engagement ran for about six months in 2025, on a weekly creative production cadence with bi-weekly client syncs. The engagement concluded in mid-2025 with the campaign goals achieved. The work built category awareness ahead of Corebingo's Ring II launch.
