Who is StatSpray and what was the challenge?

StatSpray is the brand behind a non-toxic, plant-based first aid spray for pets (Hydro-Stat!), sold through its own Shopify store. The challenge was that the brand ranked outside the top 50 for its key search terms and had no plan to change that.

StatSpray's problems were mostly in the foundations, not the product. Our audit found four issues.

  • Rankings outside the top 50 for the terms pet owners search.
  • Technical issues, including slow mobile load times and broken canonical tags, with 64 critical issues in total.
  • No documented SEO strategy or keyword roadmap.
  • A Google Business Profile that the brand was not using well.

StatSpray's engagement was a time-boxed foundation build. The goal was to fix what blocked growth and hand over a clear plan, not to chase quick rankings.

What did DesignFXPro do for StatSpray?

DesignFXPro used five services over about three months to fix StatSpray's technical base, sharpen its content and give the in-house team a roadmap. Each step built on the one before.

  1. Resolved 59 of 64 critical technical issues, including broken canonicals, through our technical SEO services.
  2. Optimized the Shopify site for speed and usability, cutting mobile load time from 5.8s to 2.4s, as part of our web development services.
  3. Optimized 22+ pages of content through on-page SEO.
  4. Built a documented 12-month SEO roadmap targeting 120+ keywords with our SEO strategy services.
  5. Set up and managed the Google Business Profile as part of our local SEO services.
  6. Handed the roadmap and documentation to StatSpray's in-house team.

What results did StatSpray get?

StatSpray resolved 92% of its critical technical issues, going from 64 to 5, and its mobile page load time dropped from 5.8s to 2.4s. Early search gains followed the foundation work.

Monthly organic sessions grew from 1,180 to 2,050, a 74% increase. Keywords in the top 30 rose from 11 to 38, and keywords in the top 10 rose from 2 to 9.

Google Business Profile views rose from 320 to 902 a month. Google says businesses with complete and accurate info are more likely to show up in local search results, which is why the profile setup was part of the foundation.

The engagement ended at the close of 2025 with all scope items delivered. These results cover the foundation work and early performance; the long-term effect of SEO extends past the engagement window, and results vary by site and market.

What can other online stores learn from StatSpray?

The main lesson from StatSpray is that a short, focused SEO engagement can fix the foundation and leave a store with a plan its own team can run. Small e-commerce brands can follow these steps in order.

  1. Fix critical technical issues such as broken canonicals before writing new content.
  2. Check mobile load time first. Google's Core Web Vitals guidance recommends a Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds, and StatSpray moved from 5.8s to 2.4s.
  3. Write down a keyword roadmap so the work continues after the agency engagement ends.
  4. Check Google's Business Profile eligibility guidelines before setting up a profile. Google requires a location customers can visit or a business that travels to customers, so an online-only store may not qualify.
  5. Judge a foundation project on issues fixed and rankings gained, then on traffic as SEO builds.

Can a three-month SEO engagement show results?

A three-month SEO engagement can show early results when it focuses on the foundation. For StatSpray, DesignFXPro resolved 59 of 64 critical technical issues and optimized 22+ pages, and monthly organic sessions rose 74% from 1,180 to 2,050. The bigger value was the documented 12-month roadmap the in-house team can keep running.

Will another online store get the same results as StatSpray?

Not necessarily. StatSpray's numbers reflect its own Shopify store, a starting point outside the top 50 and about three months of foundation work in late 2025. Another store's results depend on its competition, site condition and budget, so DesignFXPro reviews those on a free consultation before recommending any scope.

What technical SEO issues did StatSpray have?

StatSpray had 64 critical technical SEO issues at the start, including slow mobile load times and broken canonical tags. DesignFXPro resolved 59 of them, or 92%, during the engagement. Mobile page load time dropped from 5.8 seconds to 2.4 seconds as a result of the speed work.
